Hailing from Sao Paulo, Brazil, Casemiro enrolled in the youth academy of Sao Paulo, playing for his country in the Under-17s and Under 20s, and making his senior debut in 2011 against Argentina. Proving himself a highly skilled player, it wasn’t long before he caught the eye of European scouts during his 2012 Copa Sudamericana performance, and earned a loan to Real Madrid and then to Porto. In 2022, Casemiro transferred to Manchester United.
